Secondary Stage

The Secondary Stage represents the culmination of a program that develops a student’s confidence in themselves and their growing intellectual abilities. KRMWS offers a robust set of opportunities designed to allow students to shape their learning and pursue their interests wherever they may lead. Academically, students are furnished with a strong foundation in their ninth and tenth grade year that is designed to expose students to a number of different subjects, topics, and ways of thinking. As students enter their eleventh and twelfth grade year, they are allotted more freedom to pursue the robust set of electives that are offered. These electives allow students to take a “deep dive” into particular areas of interest for them.   We want our students to develop the skills and dispositions to be the architects of their own learning and we are always right alongside them to help when they might need it.

At KRMWS, education takes place not only in the traditional classroom setting but throughout the campus. Extracurricular activities are a vital part of the school program for all students. The scope of offerings is designed to encourage each student to find areas of interest. In each activity, students bear substantial responsibility for leadership. We believe that leadership and service go hand in hand.  Students are encouraged to fully participate in building an active and inclusive community that works together to address the complex issues facing our world today.
